THE REGION OF EL

MAESTRAZGO

Surrounded by
impossible formations,
high mountain ranges
and wood landscapes,
the Region of El
Maestrazgo welcomes
us in order to enjoy
its historical towns
together.

If we travel in the north of the Region,
we must visit the Cuevas de Cristal de
Molinos, grottos full of formations, some-
times with magical shapes which trans-
port us to a fantasy world. Likewise, we
must enter Castellote, where its castle is
outstanding and there is one of the most
well-known natural areas “The Bridge of
Fonseca”. On entering the Region, we
discover “Los Órganos de Montoro”, a
strange limestone formation laid out in
huge vertical units and the source of the
River Pitarque, full of life and in a pri-
vileged environment. Travelling to the
south, we receive marvellous towns such MORE INFORMATION:

as Cantavieja, Mirambel or La Iglesuela
